Nora Díaz

Nora Díaz

Nora Díaz is an English-Spanish translator and conference interpreter who enjoys using technology and finding ways to increase productivity, which combined with her love of teaching, has led her to share what she has learned through a blog, articles, webinars and workshops. Nora is the Chair of the American Translators Association Professional Development Committee. She is also a co-host of the AI in Translation Summit and AI in Interpreting Summit, and has co-authored a book called The Translator’s Tool Box. Nora was listed as one of the Top 30 Women in the Language Industry by Multilingual Magazine in 2023, was the recipient of the American Translators Association’s Innovation Award in 2024, and was named a Language Industry Influencer by Multilingual Magazine in 2025.

Arle Lommel

Dr. Arle Lommel is VP of Research at CSA Research, specializing in artificial intelligence, machine translation, translation quality, and the economic value of language. He advises global enterprises and language service providers on how language services drive ROI, strengthen customer relationships, and reduce risk.

He previously led standards and quality initiatives at the Localization Industry Standards Association and developed the Multidimensional Quality Metrics system at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. Arle joined CSA Research in 2016 and holds a PhD in ethnographic research and a BA in linguistics.

Project title

Dolores Rojo Guiñazú is a certified sworn translator specializing in quality assurance, ISO standards, and audio-based communication. She holds an MBA in Marketing Management (USAL & Albany University) and is a Certified International Copyeditor. She also holds TAUS certifications in post-editing and transcreation.

A committed advocate for quality and security in language services, Dolores is an active member of IRAM (Argentina’s ISO member body), where she contributes to national and international discussions on translation, technology, and security standards.

Dolores is an ISO 27001:2013 Internal Auditor and has been lecturing internationally since 2017 on quality assurance, industry standards, best practices, and the evolving role of audio and podcasting in professional communication. She is the creator of ATTITUDEABLE podcast in English and Spanish.

Project title

Gabriela Escarrá is a sworn translator, professor of English language and literature, and proofreader, specializing in Marketing and Corporate Communication. She is also an ISO 27001 Auditor and holds TAUS certifications in post-editing and transcreation.

She is the Spanish Language Division (SPD) Administrator and the Standards Committee Chair of the American Translators Association (ATA). She is also a member of the FIT LatAm Standards Committee and the ASTM Membership Secretary of the F43 Executive Committee. She works with several major international brands, localizing and developing their Spanish-language campaigns. Gabriela teaches standards at UCA University in Argentina and is an international speaker and co-author of two books.

Bill Rivers

Dr. Bill Rivers is Principal at WP Rivers & Associates and the Chair of the National Language Access Coalition. A former Russian/English translator and interpreter, Russian teacher, academic researcher and administrator, and for-profit and non-profit executive, he has more than 35 years’ experience in language advocacy and capacity at the national level, with significant experience in culture and language for economic development and national security in the Intelligence Community, private and academic sectors, and publications in second and third language acquisition research, proficiency assessment, program evaluation, and language policy development and advocacy. His company is contracted by the Association of Language Companies for advocacy support.
